Knoxville, TN - The Knoxville Ice Bears dominated the Columbus Cottonmouths tonight in the Civic Coliseum. A crowd of 3,912 fans watched as the Ice Bears tallied their third win in a row beating the Cottonmouths 9-4.

Francis Drolet passed the puck to Higgins who redirected it past Columbus goaltender Travis Bosch. Cody Dion was credited with the second assist.
Just 1 minute later, Brady Vandenberk set up Eric Satim. Satim fired the puck behind the goal and passed it in to Phil Bronner. Bronner hit the net and brought the Ice Bears lead to 2-0.
At 5:14, Valliquette pushed the puck in, from a blistering point shot Vandenberk and lifting Knoxville to a 3-0 lead. Two seconds after the ensuing puck drop, Valliquette squared off with Will Aide.
Just over 4 minutes later, the Ice Bears increased the score gap when Segal scored his first goal of the season. Knoxville continued the onslaught with 2:52 left in the period. Valliquette notched his second goal of the game sending the puck right past Bosch. Jon Higgins and recently signed Andrew Himelson assisted the goal. The goal was scored on an Ice Bears power play while former Ice Bear Dan Bremner served 2 minutes for charging.
Columbus finally put one past Bryan Hince on a power play 1:17 in to the third period. Hince had gone 125:45 minutes of play without surrendering a goal. The Ice Bears answered 30 seconds later when Valliquette rounded out his Gordie Howe hat trick with an assist on Ben Souders goal.
Columbus scored the next two goals to bring respectability to the contest by bringing the score to 7-3. The Ice Bears tallied their eighth goal when Peter Neal hit a long pass to Satim who hit an open left side net. Jason price also assisted.
