The ICE and Rebels will meet for the third time this season. The first meeting between the two clubs took place on November 6th in Winnipeg. The ICE skated away with a 5-3 victory that night behind a 3 point night from Michal Teply. The Second meeting was the ICE skating away with a 6-0 win. Both of the previous two matchups have been played in Winnipeg. Former Rebels captain, Dawson Barteaux was acquired at the deadline by the ICE and will return to Red Deer for the first time tonight.
The ICE look to regain the winning formula after dropping a decision to the Hitmen in Calgary two nights ago. They went 6-3 on the season long nine game swing at the ICE Cave. The loss in Calgary moved their record to 6-4-0-0 over the last ten games. The Rebels will look to build their record over the last 10 games which sits at 3-6-1-0.
The ICE continue to duke it out with the Prince Albert Raiders for first spot in the East Division which currently the ICE hold.

LAST GAME - 3-2 LOSS IN CALGARY: After the teams traded two minors a piece, each going 0-2 in the first period on the power play, it was the Hitmen who opened the scoring. Dakota Krebs scored his second of the year with just over a minute to go in the first to give Calgary a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
The ICE started the second on a power play but nothing came of it. Just over a minute later, Calgary extended their lead to 2-0. The ICE would soon find themselves back on the power play and this time made no mistake. Peyton Krebs found Ben Zloty back door to get the ICE on the board. The ICE would even this one up just before the end of the middle frame. Michal Teply scored his 19th of the season with the assist going to Peyton Krebs.
Things were all square for most of the third period. With just under a minute remaining in the game, Mark Kastelic put in Riley Stotts pass to make it 3-2 for the Hitmen and they would hold onto it. Liam Hughes made 16 saves in the loss.
