
Hutchins Heads To Rochester

BILOXI, Miss. â The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that left wing Jeff Hutchins has been loaned to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Hutchins, 25, gets his second call up to the AHL this season. The 6-foot and 205-pound Hutchins played two games with the Houston Aeros in December, accumulating two penalty minutes. With Mississippi this season, Hutchins has a team-leading 26 goals in 48 games. He has also posted 45 points, +15 and 112 penalty minutes. He was named Mississippi's Player of the Month for October, 2003 and was runner up for the InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week for October 20-26, 2003.
Hutchins is expected to make his Rochester debut at 6:05 p.m. tonight as the Americans host the San Antonio Rampage at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial.
Four Mississippi players have been called up to the AHL this season. Hutchins (Houston and Rochester) joins Greg Gardner (Rochester), Brent Gauvreau (Bridgeport) and Travis Lisabeth (Manchester).
The Sea Wolves gets back into action with games at 7:35 p.m. both Friday and Saturday against the Texas Wildcatters, as the battle for the Nextel Cup resumes at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
Promotions on Friday include 2-for-1 military, sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union. On Saturday, there are $2 drafts and $2 hotdogs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. In addition, the first 1,500 fans receive player cards and there will be a Mardi Gras Parade on ice featured in the second intermission.
On Friday, the broadcast get underway at 7:20 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on ESPN Radio WXBD-AM 1490 and online at msseawolves.com. Saturday's game can be heard 15 minutes before the opening faceoff starting with the Nextel Pregame Show on WTNI-AM 1640 and online at msseawolves.com.
