
Hurricanes Trade Laventure to Broncos

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Monday they have traded 2003-born forward Tyson Laventure to the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in the 2026 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft.
Laventure, 20, was originally drafted by the Prince Albert Raiders in the second-round (31st overall) in the 2018 WHL Draft. The Lloydminster, AB, product was acquired by the Hurricanes from the Raiders in December of 2021. In parts of two seasons with the 'Canes, the 6'3, 190-pound forward appeared in 102 regular season games totaling 71 points (28g- 43a) along with 59 penalty minutes and a plus-5 rating. He added three points (1g-2a) and eight penalty minutes in eight career post-season games with Lethbridge.
With the trade, the Hurricanes now have five 2003-born players remaining on their roster from last season, including: Tristan Zandee, Blake Swetlikoff, Nolan Bentham, Chase Pauls and Joe Arntsen.
