
Hurricanes to Induct Trio into Wall of Honour

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Friday that Nathan Barrett, Bob Loucks and Mike Moller will be inducted into the Hurricanes Wall of Honour. The trio will be inducted on Friday, January 27th when the 'Canes host the Winnipeg ICE at the ENMAX Centre.
Barrett will be inducted into the 'Player' category. The former Hurricane played parts of four seasons in Lethbridge from 1999 until 2002 totaling 309 points, 147 goals and 162 assists, in 236 regular season games. He currently sits second in Hurricanes history in goals, eighth in assists and third in points as one of only four players in team history to reach the 300-point plateau.
The Vancouver, BC, product scoring 40-plus goals in three straight seasons, while leading the entire WHL scoring with 107 points during the 2001-2002 season, capturing the Bob Clarke Trophy. He also was the recipient of the Harry Ingarfield Memorial Trophy as the Hurricanes Most Valuable Player in 2000-01 and 2001-02. Barrett was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks (eighth-round, 241st overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, appeared in 315 career professional games in the American Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League and in Europe before retiring in 2008.

Loucks will be inducted into the 'Builder' category. He served as the head coach of the Hurricanes for four seasons from 1989 until 1993. In his tenure as the 'Canes head coach, the Hurricanes qualified for the WHL Playoffs all four years.
Loucks led the team to back-to-back WHL Finals appearances in 1990 and 1991.
He finished his 'Cane coaching career with a regular season record of 168-105-15 in 288 games coached, finishing with a .583 winning percentage over four seasons. His 168 victories ranks him third in Hurricanes coaching history behind Bryan Maxwell (188) and current head coach Brent Kisio (251). Loucks was named the WHL's East Division Coach of the Year in 1989-90 and in 1990-91. He also served as an assistant coach for the Canadian National Team in 1991.

Moller will be inducted into the 'Legend' Category. He played for the Lethbridge Broncos for three seasons from 1979 to 1982 appearing in 191 regular season games collecting 301 points, including 110 goals and 191 assists, while adding 39 points in 25 WHL Playoff games. Moller was named a WHL First Team All-Star in 1980-81 and 1981-82. He was also named the Brad Horning Memorial Trophy winner as the WHL 's Most Sportsmanlike Player in 1981-82.
He was a member of the 1982 Canadian National Junior Team that captured Canada 's first ever gold medal at the World Junior Championship collecting 14 points in seven games. Moller was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second-round (41st overall) in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft and went on to play 134 games in the NHL with the Sabres and Edmonton Oilers. He also appeared in 287 career games in the American Hockey League, highlighted by capturing the 1983 Calder Cup Championship with the Rochester Americans.
