Hurricanes Sign Pichette

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Thursday they have signed 2008-born defenceman Grady Pichette to a Western Hockey League Scholarship and Development agreement.
Pichette, 14, was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the fourth-round (88th overall) in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.
The Okotoks, AB product spent the 2022-2023 season with the Okotoks Oilers U15 AAA team where he collected eight assists in 33 regular season games with 18 penalty minutes. Pichette added three assists in nine post-season games.
The 6'1, 170-pound rearguard also appeared in two regular season games last year with the Okotoks Oilers U17 AAA team where had collected one assists and two penalty minutes. Pichette had 13 points (4g-9a) along with 14 penalty minutes in 2021-2022 with the Oilers U15 team.
Pichette was named to the Hurricanes pre-season roster.
The annual Season Ticket Pick-Up event is scheduled for Monday, September 11th between 4:00pm and 7:00pm at the Canadian Western Bank Lounge at the ENMAX Centre. Season ticket packages are still available for purchase for the 2023-2024 season until Wednesday, September 20th while individual game tickets for the 2023-2024 regular season will be on sale on Tuesday, September 12th at 10:00am. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or online by visiting www.enmaxcentre.ca.
The Hurricanes continue the 2023 ENMAX Pre- Season on Saturday when they visit the Medicine Hat Tigers. The 'Canes will close the exhibition schedule on Saturday, September 16th at 6:00pm when they welcome the Red Deer Rebels to the ENMAX Centre. Paid parking will be in effect. Tickets for the pre-season game can be purchased for $10.00 cash in advance by visiting the Lethbridge Hurricanes Office at the ENMAX Centre, the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Office at Cavendish Farms Centre or at any Gas King location in Lethbridge. Portions of the proceeds will support Lethbridge Minor Hockey.
The 'Canes will open the 2023-2024 regular season on Friday, September 22nd with the Dairy Queen Home Opener when they welcome the Swift Current Broncos to the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm.
