RALEIGH, NC-Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned defenseman Bryan Rodney to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Rodney, 24, has earned two assists while playing in each of the Hurricanes' last six games since being recalled from Albany on Jan. 29.
