Stars recall Fistric from Manitoba

The Dallas Stars announced today they have recalled defenceman Mark Fistric from the Moose.

Fistric, 22, has appeared in 11 games so far this season with the Stars where he's collected one assist and four penalty minutes. In 48 career games in Dallas, the Edmonton, AB native has three assists and 28 penalty minutes, along with nine games in the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2008 where he picked up eight penalty minutes.

So far this season, Fistric has played in 35 games with the Moose where he's collected eight assists and 26 penalty minutes. Fistric collected a pair of assists in one game Jan. 14/09 vs. Milwaukee. He has played in 145 career games with Manitoba and the Iowa Stars, where he has Fistric has 37 points (3-34-37) and 157 penalty minutes.

Fistric was drafted in the first round by the Stars, 28th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
