Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa Drillers walked off on the Arkansas Travelers and won 5-4 on Thursday night at ONEOK Field after a sacrifice bunt and throwing error in the bottom of the 11th inning.
With the game tied 4-4 with one out and runners on first and second, Drillers pinch-hitter RHP Chase De Jong dropped down a bunt back to Travs RHP D.J. Johnson (L, 0-1), but Johnson's throwing attempt to first base went off Travs first baseman Cal Towey's glove allowing former Trav LF Drew Maggi to score from second.
Arkansas trailed 4-3 in the eighth when CF Chad Hinshaw blasted a game-tying home run to left-center. The longball was his first of the season. Hinshaw also lined an RBI triple down the left field line in the game.
Arkansas' surrendered four unearned runs in the game off three errors, including the game-winner for Tulsa.
The Travs bullpen was masterful on Thursday. RHP Austin Adams relieved RHP Blayne Weller with one out in the sixth and worked 1.2 perfect innings with three strikeouts. RHP Alan Busenitz followed Adams with three no-hit innings of his own and also struck out three.
SS Sherman Johnson led off the game with a home run that left the ballpark down the right field line. The blast was Johnson's second of the year and first game-opening home run for Arkansas since he hit one at Northwest Arkansas in June of 2015.
Arkansas finished 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position and went 4-for-35 in the series.
RHP Ralston Cash (W, 2-0) worked two hitless innings with a walk and four strikeouts to pick up the victory.
With the loss, Arkansas fell to 8-12 on the season. The Travs will head to Springfield to begin a four-game series at Hammons Field on Friday. First pitches are scheduled for 7:10 p.m., 6:10 p.m., 2:10 p.m. and 11:10 a.m. Friday through Monday.
