HPT's Almond Named CPL Hitter of the Week

Zac Almond drove in the winning run last night to beat Martinsville 1-0 and is now the first HiTom to get weekly honors for the 2016 season. The sophomore from Catawba College is named the Coastal Plain League Hitter of the Week for his contributions in the past week.
Almond cracked eight hits off of the bat this week including two homers and six RBI's. His 18 RBI's on the season put him in second in the CPL in that category.
The HiToms take on Martinsville again on Wednesday, June 22 at 7 p.m. in Thomasville at Finch Field on Shuler Meats $1 night.
