Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar is excited to announce that Olivia Howe has joined the organization as the Warriors' new Coaching Assistant.
"We are very pleased to add Olivia to our hockey operations staff.ÃÂ She has tremendous experience in the game and made a strong impression on our staff at our recent training camp as a guest coach," commented Millar.ÃÂ "Olivia has played at a high level, coached, scouted, been a leader, and a champion in her career.ÃÂ She will be a strong addition to our team."
From Moose Jaw, Howe played for the Notre Dame AAA Hounds (SFMAAAHL) from 2008 to 2012.ÃÂ She played in 106 regular-season games and had 107 goals and 207 points and was named the Hounds Captain for the 2011 - 2012 season.ÃÂ She was part of the Hounds 2011 Esso Cup National Championship team and also attended Hockey Canada's 2010 and 2011 Under-18 Selection Camps.
Howe went on to attend Clarkson University from 2012 to 2016 (NCAA).ÃÂ She played in 152 games for the Golden Knights and had 42 goals and 100 points.ÃÂ Howe and the Golden Knights won the NCAA National Championship in 2013 - 2014.ÃÂ In 2015 - 2016, she was the recipient of Clarkson's Ron Frazer Award, which is presented to a player who has proven to elevate their game in key situations and who made significant contributions to the team's success.
After graduating from Clarkson, Howe returned to Saskatchewan and in 2016 - 2017 she was the Assistant Coach for Notre Dame's Junior Women's team (CSSHL).ÃÂ She has scouted many CSSHL/JWHL women's tournament for Neutral Zone, a hockey scouting news site which identifies, ranks, and profiles NCAA (Division 1 & 3) and CIS prospects across North America.ÃÂ Most recently, Howe was a Guest Coach at the Warriors 2019 Training Camp.
