Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE are pleased to honour the men and women who serve our communities at First Responders Night, happening October 19 when the ICE host the Saskatoon Blades.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 P.M. at the ICE Cave (Wayne Fleming Arena).
First Responders Night will feature a vehicle display on the way into the game, a ceremonial puck drop and the Fire Fighter's Burn Fund will be set up on the concourse accepting donations to support exceptional burn care, treatment, rehabilitation and research.
Mr. Mike's Steakhouse Casual is also showing their support by offering anyone with a ticket to the game a free appetizer. Dine-in only, redeemable on Saturday October 19th.
"First Responders Night is our organization's way of saying thank you and recognizing all that these incredible people do, for not just our team, but for our whole community," said Leah Watkins, Director, Business Operations with the ICE. "We expect to have many police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and more in the stands, so we invite all ICE Fans to join us for a great night of hockey and to salute Manitoba's first responders."
