Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - Play will resume in today's Houston Dynamo vs. San Jose Earthquakes MLS regular season match at BBVA Compass Stadium at 4:22 p.m. CDT.
The match was halted at halftime due to lightning in the area around the stadium. The teams will return to the pitch at 4:11 p.m. and will have 10 minutes to warm up. The official length of the delay was 70 minutes with the score tied at 0-0.
For the safety of everyone involved, all players, referees and staff were not permitted on the field while there was lightning near the stadium, and the seating bowl was cleared.
