Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo visit Real Salt Lake at 8:30 p.m. CDT Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah. Tomorrow is the first of two meetings over a 15-day span between the Western Conference rivals, with Real Salt Lake set to visit Houston on May 14.

The game will be broadcast live at www.HoustonDynamo.com/Live, with the stream set to begin at 8 p.m. CDT featuring a 30-minute pregame show discussing lineups, strategy and major storylines around the match. After the final whistle, a 30-minute postgame show will break down all of the action. The broadcast makes the Dynamo the first team among Houston's men's professional sports franchises to offer a regular-season game exclusively online. It will air without blackout restrictions across the United States.

The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio 650 AM KIKK in English and in Spanish on Univision Radio 1010 AM KLAT.

Game Notes

The Dynamo will be without GK Tyler Deric and MF Alex Lima as both are suspended for Saturday's game. Deric received the first regular-season red card of his career in Saturday's 1-0 loss at Columbus Crew SC. Lima was issued a one-game suspension by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for a serious foul play at Columbus.

Dynamo head coach Owen Coyle made five changes to his starting lineup at Columbus, with four players making their season debut: D Agus García and Sheanon Williams, MF Collen Warner and Deric.

Dynamo FW/MF Giles Barnes can pass Geoff Cameron and Andre Hainault and tie Jermaine Taylor for 10th on the club list with his 101st career MLS regular-season start on Saturday. Barnes also can pass Hainualt for 12th on the franchise list with his 105th career MLS regular-season appearance.

Real Salt Lake has been one of the league's early surprises, with a record of 4-1-2, including a 3-0 mark at home. Ecuadorian FW Joao Plata won MLS Player of the Month in March and has tallied four goals and four assists through six games but is questionable on Saturday with a hip flexor injury. Argentine playmaker Javier Morales, 36, was Real Salt Lake's MVP last season with eight goals and 12 assists and is a two-time MLS-All Star. Another midfield stalwart is Kyle Beckerman, a seven-time MLS All-Star and the all-time MLS leader in games played by a field player (385 regular season appearances).

The RSL attack also includes former Boca Juniors player Juan "Burrito" Martinez (Questionable with quad injury), and FW Yura Movsisyan, who is back in Utah after time with Russian giants Spartak Moscow.

After Saturday's game, the Dynamo return home on Saturday, May 7 to host Sporting Kansas City at 7:30 p.m. CDT. For tickets for all Dynamo home games, visit www.HoustonDynamo.com or call 713-276-GOAL.
