Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC announced a trophy tour as part of the upcoming Fan Appreciation Week, presented by Verizon. The Dynamo claimed the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday and will share the triumph with fans at six events throughout the city starting later today prior to the match between Houston and FC Dallas at Shell Energy Stadium.
Fan Appreciation Weekend begins this afternoon with a pregame party to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month prior to the Texas Derby. Houston looks to claim a playoff berth and additional hardware by winning the season series against their in-state rival. Festivities extend to Sunday when Dynamo and football fans can take photos with the trophy at NRG Stadium prior to the Houston Texans game.
The trophy will visit Burnett Bayland Park on Oct. 3 for National Night Out. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. CT and include family-friendly activities, such as music, sports activities, food trucks, etc.
Dynamo fans are encouraged to visit Texas Tailgate to support the team on Oct. 4 as they travel to Montreal and take photos with the trophy. Additional stops in the trophy tour include a visit to the MD Anderson YMCA on Thursday, Oct. 5 for Futbolito in the City, which includes an appearance from Dynamo midfielder Luis Caicedo starting at 6 p.m. CT.
Fan Appreciation Week will culminate on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 as both teams host their final home match of the regular season. A full list of activities and additional information for events like the Dash Bash scheduled for Oct. 8 is available here.
