
Houston Dynamo Announce 2008 Team Awards

HOUSTON, TX (Tuesday, November 11, 2008) - The Houston Dynamo announced their 2008 team awards Tuesday at Dynamo Charities' Dynamo Awards 08, presented by Halliburton, held at Warehouse Live.
With the entire team, front office, fans, and sponsors in attendance, the Dynamo honored award winners ranging from Dynamo Academy players to first team regulars to Dynamo Girls. Proceeds from the event, which included a silent auction, will benefit the Harris County Precinct 2 After School Program and the Houston Parks and Recreation Department.
Defender Bobby Boswell took home three awards - Defender of the Year, Iron Man of the Year, and Fans' Choice Award. Geoff Cameron (Newcomer of the Year, Goal of the Year, Brian Ching (Budweiser Golden Boot, MVP), and Stuart Holden (Young Player of the Year, USSF Humanitarian of the Year) took home two awards each.
The inaugural Forever Orange Award went to Jen Cooper, who manages the Dynamo's volunteer staff, the Blue Crew, and has been a major contributor to all Dynamo departments since the team arrived in Houston in 2006.
The Dynamo have one more game on the 2008 schedule, a CONCACAF Champions League match against El Salvador's Luis Angel Firpo on November 26.

Young Player of the Year: Stuart Holden (U-23)
Budweiser Golden Boot: Brian Ching (most MLS goals)
