HOUSTON (Saturday, June 6, 2015) - The Houston Dash face Portland Thorns FC at 7:30 p.m. CT tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium. Tickets are available at HoustonDashSoccer.com, by calling (713) 276-GOAL, or by visiting the BBVA Compass box office (2200 Texas St., Houston).

The match will be broadcast live via YouTube at HoustonDashSoccer.com/live, and will air on ROOT SPORTS on Sunday, June 7, at 5 p.m. Game notes for the Dash are attached.

Prior to the match, the Dash will host a watch party at the Bud Light Beer Garden for the opening match of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. Hosts Canada-featuring Dash players Erin McLeod, Lauren Sesselmann and Allysha Chapman-face China at 5 p.m on FOX Sports 1 and Telemundo. The beer garden opens at 4:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public of all ages.

The Dash and BBVA Compass are partnering to offer free admission to tonight's game to Houston-area first responders as a thank you for their efforts in the community during the period of severe weather and flooding in late May.

Local firefighters, police officers, paramedics and emergency medical technicians can claim their complimentary tickets and purchase additional tickets for either match at www.HoustonDynamo.com/FirstResponders (must show valid first responder ID at box office for pickup).

The general public can also support relief efforts in the region with special ticket packages that include a $5 donation to the Greater Houston Red Cross, available at www.HoustonDynamo.com/RedCross. Fans can also make a donation to the Red Cross at the Dynamo Charities station on the concourse of BBVA Compass Stadium.

The Dash (2-2-3, 9 points) and Thorns met two weeks prior in Portland, with Houston coming away with a 1-0 win. Jessica McDonald scored against her former team and Bianca Henninger made eight saves for the Dash's first win against the Thorns in team history.

Despite winning the NWSL Championship in 2013 and making the playoffs in 2014, Thorns FC (2-3-2, 8 points) currently sits outside the playoff spots in 7th place in the league standings. Portland is currently in a three-game losing streak and have not won since the second week of the season, a 1-0 win at home over the Western New York Flash. The Thorns are led offensively by Allie Long (4 goals) and Mana Shim (3 goals) and were recently bolstered with the addition of former African Women Footballer of the Year Ayo, who scored her first NWSL goal last week in a 2-1 loss to the Washington Spirit.

Following tonight's match, the Dash have a break in the schedule for the Women's World Cup before facing the Western New York Flash on June 20. Individual tickets for the match start at just $15 and are available at HoustonDashSoccer.com or by calling (713) 276-GOAL. The Dash are also hosting watch parties for all U.S. and Canada Women's World Cup matches at the Phoenix on Westheimer.
