Hounds Hit 4 Homers in Victory

OCONOMOWOC, WI - The Lake Country DockHounds were victorious over the Kane County Cougars 12-8 in Oconomowoc on Wednesday evening.

The DockHounds scored first in the bottom of the first when Aaron Takacs tripled into center. He was driven in by Daikan Yoh on a sacrifice fly. Later in the inning, Gio Brusa knocked in two runners on a double, to make the score 3-0.

In the third inning, Brusa hit a solo home run extending the lead, 4-0 DockHounds.

In the fourth, Kane County's Cornelius Randolph hit a 2-run blast to trim the lead, 4-2.

TJ Bennett answered in the next half inning with his own 2-run homer, putting the Hounds up 4.

Randolph homered in the sixth, and B.J. Lopez scored an unearned run in the next inning.

Bennett singled in the 7th for Lake Country and was driven in by Brusa's 2-RBI home run. Jake Snider reached on a walk and Wilfredo Gimenez crushed another 2-run shot to put the DockHounds up 10-4.

Kane County would put up 4 more runs, but time was not on their side as they fell 12-8.

The new DockHound Francisco Jimenez earned the victory, striking out seven in six and one-third innings. He gave up 8 hits and allowed 3 earned runs.

Vance Worley took the loss, pitching seven full innings, giving up 11 hits and 9 earned runs.

The DockHounds wrap up their homestand against the Kane County Cougars this Thursday, May 26th. First pitch will be at 11:05 a.m.
