BOWLING GREEN, Kent. - On The Bowling Green Hot Rods (3-0, 40-30) completed a sweep of the Lansing Lugnuts (0-3, 32-39) with a 9-1 win at Bowling Green Ballpark on Saturday night.

The Hot Rods received more strong pitching Saturday, holding the Lugnuts to just three runs - one in each game - in the three-game series.

Starter Dylan Floro (Win, 6-2) picked up right where he left off in the first half of the season when he earned All-Star honors. Floro tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out five Lansing hitters and walking a pair. His ERA dropped to 2.08 this season, top-five in the Midwest League.

For the second straight night, the Hot Rods got things going with a big inning early and never looked back offensively.

After a Joey Rickard RBI single in the third put the Hot Rods up 1-0, Tommy Coyle followed right up with a three-run homer off Lansing starter Roberto Osuna (Loss, 3-3). Bowling Green plated three more in the fourth inning with a three-run shot to left by Patrick Leonard, giving the Hot Rods a 7-0 lead at that point.

Leonard finished 2-for-2 on the night, with the home run and a double. He walked in two other plate appearances, scoring three times in total.

Osuna lasted just three innings on the mound for Lansing, allowed six runs - all of them earned - on just three hits. He struggled with his command, issuing four walks compared to three strikeouts.

The Lugnuts' only run of the game came in the top of the seventh inning when Santiago Nessy, fresh off the disabled list today, doubled and came around to score on Kellen Sweeney's RBI single.

In the loss, Dalton Pompey was 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and a single. Nessy's double extended his on-base streak to 12 straight games.

Lansing now heads off to Dayton, Ohio to start a three-game series against the Dayton Dragons on Sunday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m. The Lugs will open the series with Javier Avendano (4-5, 4.43) on the mound against Dayton southpaw Ismael Guillon (3-6, 6.00).
