Ottawa record now 13-14. Four straight wins is a season high. Player of the Game: Red-Hot Carlos Mendez had two hits and two RBIs, leading the Lynx to their 4th straight win.

TOL - none Key Plays: Mendez' 2 RBI single in the 5th knocked Shane Loux out of the game and gave the Lynx a lead they would never surrender.. Recap: The Lynx got one in the top of the first, after Brian Roberts walked, moved to second on a groundout, stole third, and scored on a Luis Matos ground out. Toledo countered in the top of the 2nd, when A.J.Hinch doubled and came to count later in the inning on a Cody Ross sacrifice fly. The Lynx got it back in the bottom half, when Darnell McDonald was hit by a pitch and scored on one of two Robert Machado doubles. Toledo went ahead 3-2 in the top of the 5th, on a Jhonny Perez RBI groundout and a Danny Klassen RBI double. The Lynx counted three in the bottom of the 5th to take the lead. Brian Roberts set the table again with a single, and was followed by Eddy Garabito's single. Luis Matos followed with an RBI single and Jack Cust walked, setting the stage for the red-hot Mendez' 2 RBI single.

The Lynx added an insurance run in the 8th when Darnell McDonald walked, and was thrown out at home on Machado's double. After a Pedro Swann single, Brian Rios sac fly finished the scoring for the evening. Sean Douglass (5.0ip, 5h, 3r, 3er, 2bb, 5k) gets his third straight win.
Shane Loux (4.1ip, 8h, 5r, 5er, 2bb, 4k) takes his first loss.
Darwin Cubillan (1.1ip, 1bb, 1k) picks up his first save. Next Game: The Lynx and Mud Hens take the field tomorrow afternoon for the third of their 4-game series.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Probable Pitchers for Friday: Ottawa RHP Eric Dubose (3-1, 2.40) vs. Toledo Seth Greisinger (3-1, 3.42) Upcoming promotions at Lynx Stadium: Tomorrow is Kids Run the Park Day: Students from grades 7 & 8 at Jean Vanier Catholic Intermediate School are doing the jobs of the Front Office Staff for the Ottawa Lynx. 14 students are here doing the following duties: general managing, ticket sales, group sales, marketing, promotions, media relations, business administration, groundskeeping, merchandise sales, parking, security, and scoreboard operation.

These students arrived at 9:00 a.m. to put in a full work day and make sure the ballpark is a smoothly run venue and an enjoyable place to be for all fans. They are learning what is involved in a career in sport management. We are hopeful that these students leave the stadium today with a great understanding of what happens behind the scenes of a professional sports franchise and what goes into event planning.

Sunday is Umpire Appreciation Day, where the International League Umpires will be hosting a clinic from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. , any person with a ticket to the day's game can participate. Certified Umpires can get a ticket to the game for the special price of $5.
