Durham, NC- Tony Zuniga went 3-for-4 with a home run and scored three runs to lead the Syracuse SkyChiefs to a 10-7 victory over the Durham Bulls on Friday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Bruce Aven hit a three-run home run in the first inning to give the SkyChiefs the early lead. The Bulls fought back to tie the score with runs in the second, third, and fifth innings, but Syracuse scored five times in the sixth to take a commanding 8-3 lead. Howie Clark went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Ken Huckaby added three hits with a run scored and an RBI.

RHP Vinnie Chulk (1-2) picked up his first career Triple-A win after allowing three runs (earned) and eight hits over five innings. He struck out four and walked none.

Ryan Jackson went 3-for-4 with two RBI as the Bulls managed 14 hits on the evening. Jason Tyner went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and Jay Canizaro added three hits.

LHP Cedrick Bowers (0-1) took the defeat in relief after giving up five runs (earned) and three hits over two-thirds of an inning. He walked two and struck out two. RHP Jason Standridge went five innings in his first start of the season, allowing three runs (earned) and three hits while walking two and striking out two.
