Hillsboro, Oregon - The Hillsboro Hops put together a ninth inning rally and took the final game of the three game series in walk-off fashion by a score of 2-1.

The Hawks jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after Brian Mundell scored Scott Burcham on a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning.

David Hill received his third start of the season and shut down the Hops, tossing three scoreless innings while striking out two batters.

The Hops tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning on a Nate Robertson slap single that scored Josh Anderson.

The game remained tied until the bottom of the ninth inning. The Hops led off with back-to-back singles before Gerard Hernandez hit a bouncing ball to Luis Castro who bobbled, allowing the winning run to score.

The Hawks (3-7) will travel back to Boise to face the Eugene Emeralds (4-5) in a three game series beginning tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m.
