
Hooks all-stars shine

Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
In the West's 5-0 over the East in the Texas League All-Star Game, Hooks' pitching did what it has been doing the whole season, set down the batters. Jason Hirsh, Mark McLemore and Tim McClaskey combined for 4 shutout innings in the game.
Hirsh threw 2 innings retiring the 6 batters he faced and striking out 3. McLemore threw 1 inning giving up 1 hit and striking out 1 batter. As for McClaskey he finished up the game for the West throwing the last inning. McClaskey faced 4 batters as he walked one with one out.
Hector Gimenez and Josh Anderson both started for the West. Anderson went 1 for 2 in his two at bats getting a line single to center field. Gimenez went 0 for 2 with two ground outs.
The Corpus Christi Hooks start the second half of the season in Arkansas for 4 games then head over to Springfield for 3 more.
The Hooks will return to Corpus Christi July 1st for a 5 game homestand against the Midland RockHounds.
