Texas League All-Star Game to be shown live on Fox Sports
TEXAS LEAGUE ALL-STAR GAME TO BE SHOWN LIVE ON FOX SPORTS NET TONIGHT
With nine team members in uniform, the Tulsa Drillers will surely play a prominent role in tonight's (Tuesday) telecast of the 2005 Texas League All-Star Game in Frisco, Texas.
The All-Star Game will begin at 7:00PM and will be televised in Tulsa and throughout the region on Fox Sports Net Southwest. The sold-out game will originate from Frisco's Dr. Pepper/Seven-up Ballpark and can be seen live in Tulsa on Cox Communications cable Channel 27. In addition, the game will either be picked up live or on a tape-delay basis by other national Fox Sports affiliates.
Besides the attraction of an All-Star game, after the third inning, fans will get to watch the first in-game Home Run Derby finals. The finalists will be decided in the preliminaries that will be held before the game.
Also, MLB Radio will be taping Around the Minors, which will air on Tuesday, from the Texas League FanFest Monday night. In addition, MLB Radio will be taping the fourth annual Futures Game Selection Show just prior to the All-Star game Tuesday.
Besides manager Tom Runnells and coaches Bo McLaughlin and Darron Cox, the Drillers will have six players in uniform for the East Division squad. The group includes pitchers Christian Parker, Jon Asahina, P.J. Bevis and Zack Parker, outfielder Ryan Spilborghs and infielder Corey Slavik.
