CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Destin Hood homered again and drove in all three runs for the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, Tuesday night in a 4-3, walk-off loss to the Corpus Christi Hooks at Whataburger Field.

BIG MOMENTS

* Hood broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer in the fifth, his second consecutive game with a homer and his sixth long ball in the last 11 games.

* With the game tied 2-2 in the ninth, Hood delivered again with a go-ahead sacrifice fly to put the Riders ahead 3-2.

* Corpus Christi won on a walk-off infield single in the bottom of the ninth.

* Relievers Anthony Gose and Adam Parks each worked out of big jams in the seventh and eighth innings to preserve a tie game. The two stranded five runners combined and Riders pitching left 14 Hooks on base overall.

* Michael O'Neill: 2-for-2, BB, R

* Ariel Jurado: 6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 K

NEWS AND NOTES

* Hood is batting .314 in his last 11 games and has all six of his homers in that stretch.

* Jose Cardona and Michael O'Neill each stole a base for the third day in a row. Through three games in this series, the Riders are 8-for-8 in swipes.
