Friday's RoughRiders Home Game Completely Sold Out
July 17, 2018 - Texas League (TL1)
Frisco RoughRiders News Release
FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, today announced that this Friday's 7:05 p.m. home game, featuring live in-stadium appearances by online trick-shot sensation Dude Perfect, is completely sold out.
Every available ticket for all fixed seats, hospitality areas (including the Choctaw Lazy River), suites, grass berm and standing room locations has been completely purchased three days prior to game day. That marks the first time in RoughRiders' history that a home game has sold out that far in advance.
The RoughRiders also announced today that in order to accommodate the large crowd that is anticipated for Friday's game, all entrance gates to Dr Pepper Ballpark will open 30 minutes early at 5:30 p.m.
"From the minute we announced our Dude Perfect Night promotion back in February, we knew that it was going to create a demand for tickets that was unlike any other event in franchise history," said RoughRiders' President and General Manager Andy Milovich. "It was important for us to announce that Friday's game was sold out in advance so that we could avoid having any disappointed customers at the box office and to provide those fortunate enough to hold a ticket for the game with prior notice that they should plan to arrive earlier than usual and get ready for what will certainly be the most exciting promotional event in team history."
Plenty of exciting festivities are planned for Dude Perfect Night, including a public meet & greet from 7:30-8:30 p.m. (the first 1,000 fans through the gates will get a ticket for the meet & greet). Additionally, all five Dudes will throw out a ceremonial first pitch in a special way and the Dudes will join in on some mid-inning activities throughout the evening. The Riders will suit up in special Dude Perfect-themed uniforms, which will be auctioned to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The evening will be capped off by spectacular post-game fireworks.
Fans not able to get their hands on tickets for Friday's event can still enjoy six other fun-filled nights of entertainment, great ballpark atmosphere and future major league stars in action during the next homestand at Dr Pepper Ballpark, which runs from Thursday, July 19 through Wednesday, July 25. All games start at 7:05 p.m.
The upcoming homestand also features the latest installment of the biggest party in North Texas, the Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ the Yard and Thirsty Thursday, on Thursday, July 19, Faith & Family Night on Saturday, July 21, Post-Game Fireworks on Sunday, July 22 and Bark in the Park, presented by Legacy Veterinary Hospital (bring your dog to the ballpark!) on Tuesday, July 24. Fans with Flex Ticket packages or customers interested in purchasing single-game tickets or group outings for any remaining 2018 RoughRiders home game are invited to stop by the Dr Pepper Ballpark ticket office in-person, call (972) 731-9200, email info@ridersbaseball.com, or visit RidersBaseball.com.
