The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club is raising money in honour of our beloved friend Larry "Mav" Mavety that will directly support Kingston's local community. The funds will be donated by Brenda Mavety and her family to less fortunate families in the Kingston community.
Mav will always be remembered as a guiding light to so many players and staff over his 39 year career in the Ontario Hockey League. The impact he's had on the growth of hockey in Kingston, Belleville and around the world cannot be measured. As a head coach, general manager and governor of the Ontario Hockey League, he had touched the lives of so many individuals and provided them with an avenue for success on and off the ice. As an organization, we feel so blessed to have known Mav and he will forever be remembered as a true gentleman of the game.
In Larry Mavety's honour, we have created this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds that will directly impact our local community members. It was always important to Mav to give back to his community and to provide less fortunate individuals the opportunity to play, watch and learn the game of hockey.
