Rochester Honkers News Release
(Rochester, MN) - It was the same storyline just a different day for the Rochester Honkers Baseball Club, who was forced to postpone another game due to rain and poor field conditions. They were scheduled to take on St. Cloud yesterday, June 21 at 7:05pm, and today, June 22 at 1:05pm, at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, but bad field conditions forced the 7:05 game to be played as a doubleheader following the 1:05 game. Rain was a factor again, causing the double header to be postponed until the second half of the season.
The games are tentatively rescheduled as doubleheaders, after regularly scheduled games on July 30th and 31st in St. Cloud, both doubleheaders will start at 6:05pm, with the second game following thirty minutes after the conclusion of game one. All four games will be seven inning games.
The Honkers have ran into heavy rain and storms many times this season, but were able to make-up the games in that series without losing a game in the first half.
The Honkers will now travel to Duluth for a three game series against the Huskies before returning back to Mayo Field for a 1:05pm game against the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers, Sunday June 26, followed by another 1:05pm game the next day against the Lunkers.
