(Kannapolis, NC) â The Kannapolis Intimidators announced today pitcher Kris Honel was selected to the South Atlantic Annual All Star team as Right Handed Pitcher.
The 19-year old is 9-6 this season with a 2.67 ERA and leads the league in strikeouts with 150. Honel is also fourth in the league in individual pitching. The Bourbonnais, Ill. Native was selected by the Chicago White Sox 16th overall in the 2001 Draft.
The All-Star Team was voted on by all the 16 South Atlantic League Team's Field Managers, General Managers and Team Media Outlets (Press/Radio/TV).
