Potomac Nationals News Release
Join the Potomac Nationals at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium for the last homestand in the first half of the season! The four-game series begins on Thursday and includes an appearance from Jose Canseco, Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Night with a jersey auction, Military Appreciation Night, two nights of fireworks, and a Father's Day celebration, which features a picnic and the Trea Turner Signature Grill Mitt giveaway. The P-Nats will face the Buies Creek Astros (Houston) for the first time at home in 2018 for the four-game set.
Thursday, June 14th
First pitch: 7:05pm Gates open: 6pm
Thursday Cheers: dollar drink specials during the game
College Night Pfitz Parties: cornhole, water pong and trivia in the brand-new Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium Party Zone
World Cup Kickoff Night: any fan who wears a soccer jersey can purchase a discounted grandstand ticket for $5; there will be a guess the flag in-game contest, plus soccer trivia throughout the night
Friday, June 15th
First pitch: 7:05pm Gates open: 6pm
Jose Canseco Appearance, presented by Northwest Federal Credit Union: the former MLB star will kick off the Legends Autograph Series by signing autographs and meeting with fans; he made six All-Star teams. He led baseball in home runs twice, win four Silver Slugger awards and earned both the ROY and MVP. The signing is free to fans on a first-come, first-served basis, with the line beginning as soon as gates open.
Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Night: the stadium will be turned into Jurassic (Ball)Park to pay tribute to the 25th anniversary of the movie. There will be Jurassic Park jeeps on site and fans should be on the lookout for a t-rex on the loose and dinosaur eggs scattered in the stadium. Any fan who comes dressed as a park ranger or who has the name Grant, Malcolm, Hammond or Ellie can purchase a discounted grandstand ticket for $5, and there will be Jurassic Park related prizes handed out throughout the night.
Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Night Jersey Auction, presented by Play4TheCure: Jurassic Park themed jerseys will be auctioned off via a silent auction during the game, with proceeds benefitting Play4TheCure, a fundraising platform for the National Foundation for Cancer Research. The auction begins once gates open at 6pm and will run through the last out of the sixth inning. Winners will be able to take a photo post-game with the player or coach who wore and autographed the jersey.

Reading Program Night: students who have participated in Uncle Slam's Reading Program will be recognized for their achievements in a pre-game parade

Sunday, June 17th

Father's Day, presented by VDSS: Virginia Birth Father Registry
Trea Turner Signature Grill Mitt Giveaway, presented by Wegmans (First 1,000 adults): playing off the mitt Turner wears while running the bases, this is the perfect addition to any grill set (or kitchen)
Father's Day Picnic: enjoy an all-you-can-eat pre-game picnic in the Northwest Federal Bullpen Club! Menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs and sides and is a $10 add-on to any game ticket.
Kids Day Sunday:
Post-game Kids Run the Bases, presented by Glory Days Grill
Kids Exclusive Post-Game Player Autograph Signing: Kids 12 & under can receive autographs from two P-Nats players in the café area after the game
Kids Eat Free: the first 250 kids 12 & under will receive a free drink and hot dog
Face Painting: kids can have their face painted by Facing Angels in the concourse (charge applies)
Virginia529 Super Saver Sunday: show your Virginia529 Smart Savers Club Card at the ticket office to receive two free grandstand tickets to the game
