Regina, Saskatchewan - The Trade Deadline is over and the Regina Pats have their sights on a run towards the playoffs, and it starts this weekend with a pair of home games beginning tonight! Friday the 13th will bring $13 adult and senior tickets as the blue and white host the Victoria Royals for the first time at the Brandt Centre. Sunday at 6:00pm at the Brandt Centre, the ice will heat up as the Pats and Blades renew their rivalry for the third time in ten days!
This weekend will also mark the home debut of the two newest members of the Regina Pats in defencemen Martin Marincin (mah-rin-CHIN) and Luke Fenske (FEN-ski).

This is the first time that the Victoria Royals will pay a visit to the Brandt Centre. When the franchise was in Chilliwack, the Pats faced the Bruins last season in B.C. and it was Regina winning in a shootout 3-2. This is a young Royals lineup that is led by a pair of highly touted 17 year olds.
Who to look for:
C - Logan Nelson
The native of Rogers, Minnesota is in his first season in the Western Hockey League and is second on the Royals in scoring. He is currently ranked 108th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.
C - Steven Hodges
Steven is entering his second season in the WHL and has already topped all his stat totals from his 16 year old rookie season. He is ranked 55th in North America according to the recent NHL Central Scouting mid-term rankings.

This will be the third time in ten days that the Pats and Blades will face each other with the home teams coming away with victories in the previous two games. Matt Hewitt picked up his second shutout of the season in a 3-0 Pats win on January 6th, while 24 hours later it was the Blades coming away with the 4-3 victory at Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon.
Who to look for:
D - Dalton Thrower
The 18 year old WHL veteran is the Blades top scoring defenceman so far this season and is tops on the club in assists. He is the 30th ranked North American skater according to the recent NHL Central Scouting listings.
C - Lukas Sutter
Lukas is the son of former NHL'er Rich Sutter and is currently second on the Blades in scoring. He is a highly touted forward, pegged as the 86th ranked North American skater by NHL Central Scouting.

Two Headed to the Top Prospects Game:
Both Dominik Volek and Chandler Stephenson have been invited to play at the CHL/NHL Home Hardware Top Prospects game on February 1st in Kelowna. Stephenson will play for Team Orr while Volek will play for Team Cherry.
Pats Show Off Their Skills:
The 2nd annual Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition is set for next Sunday, and if last year's debut event was any indication, this year's will be a must see event. The five event challenge (fastest skater, hardest shot, accuracy, 3-way passing breakout and the shootout) is set to begin at 2pm on Sunday, January 22nd at the Co-operators Centre and admission is FREE! All of the Regina Pats will take part as well as a selected team from Hockey Regina and members of the local media.
