
Hitmen extend winning streak

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen extended their season high winning streak to six games with a 5-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Friday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Trevor Cheek (1g, 2a) led the Calgary scoring attack with three points while Brady Brassart (1g, 1a) picked up two points for the Hitmen. Collin Bowman and Cody Sylvester each scored one in the win while Rob Trzonkowski netted his first goal of the season.
Victor Rask and Jaynen Rissling picked up one helper each while Jimmy Bubnick recorded his team-leading 20th assist in the victory.
Brandon Glover made 27 saves in the Hitmen net to pick up his 12th win of the season.
Calgary, now 23-16-2-1 on the season, sits seventh in the WHL Eastern Conference with 49 points.
The Hitmen wrap up a three-game home stand on Sunday, January 15 when they welcome Calgary Flames prospect Laurent Brossoit and the Edmonton Oil Kings. Puck drop is 2:00 p.m. for the Dodge Skate with the Hitmen game. Fans are encouraged to bring their skates to Sunday's matchup to join the Hitmen for a post-game skate. All participants under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.
