Saskatoon Blades News Release
The Saskatoon Blades are set to take on the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday, January 14th.
The game against the division rivals marks the middle game of three games in three nights for the Blades as they also battle Swift Current tonight and Regina on Sunday.
The Blades have come alive as of late, being winners of two straight games.
The last victory for the Blades came on Wednesday night as they walked into Brandon and shut out the Wheat Kings 2-0 off the strength of 37 saves from 16 year old goaltender Alex Moodie.
The two teams last met on December 30th as the Blades were able to walk away with a 9-4 victory in Saskatoon. So far the Blades are 4-1 against the Raiders this season.
The Saskatoon Blades will welcome former Blade and long-time NHLer Curtis Leschyshyn prior to the game against the Raiders. Leschyshyn will be taking part in a cheque presentation in support of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan after his appearance on CBC's Battle of the Blades.
Great tickets are still available for the game.
