
Home Runs Push Drillers to Victory

TULSA, Okla. - A trio of home runs gave the Tulsa Drillers all of the offense they would need as they defeated the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 8-1 on Friday night. With the win, Tulsa claims the four-game series.
Tulsa took the lead on Cristhian Adames' second home run of the season in the first inning. Kiel Roling hit his 15th home run of the year in the third to give the Drillers a 2-0 lead.
The Naturals cut the lead in half in the fourth inning. Yem Prades reached on a one-out single, advanced to second on a walk issued to Mitch Canham and scored on a Roman Hernandez two-out single. ïÿýCanham was thrown out trying to steal home to end the inning.
Tulsa answered in the bottom half of the frame with a leadoff home run from Angelys Nina. The Drillers added a run on a wild pitch in the sixth and two runs on two singles in the seventh. ïÿýA single and two walks loaded the bases in the eighth, with Rafael Ortega singling to score two runs with two outs. Nina led the Drillers with three hits, while Ortega,ïÿýAdames and Jaron Shepherd each had two hits for Tulsa.
Prades went two-for-four with a double, single and run scored to lead the Naturals. Hernandez,ïÿýCanham,ïÿýOrlando Calixte, and Brian Fletcher each had hits for Northwest Arkansas.
Sean Gallagher earns his third win of the year for Tulsa. Gallagher allowed one run on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts in six innings.
Sugar Ray Marimon is charged with the loss. Marimon allowed four runs on seven hits with one walk and six strikeouts in six innings. Noel Arguelles allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits with two walks and a strikeout in two innings.
The Naturals return to Arvest Ballpark tomorrow night to begin an eight-game homestand and the first of a four-game series against the North Division-leading Arkansas Travelers. Aaron Brooks is scheduled to make his Double-A debut for the Naturals. Manny Correa (3-5, 5.16 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Travelers.
