Holy Moly Goalie-Jaeger Wins Goalie Of Week Award For Third Time

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 22)-Eight wins and counting is where Brahmas netminder and CHL reigning Goaltender of the Week, Brett Jaeger stands with consecutive victories. Among all the success, the league announced Monday the man in the mask for Texas has earned the "Goalie of the Week" honors for the week of February 14-20; his second in as many weeks.
Jaeger went 3-0 this past week with victories over Allen, Wichita and Odessa, allowing just one goal per game. Last Monday, the Peace River, ALTA native snagged 43 shots in Allen for a 2-1 shootout victory over the Americans. Following the key conference win was a 26 save performance against the Wichita Thunder Friday night. Jaeger was back between the pipes for a pivotal matchup against the Odessa Jackalopes Saturday night at NYTEX and was able to take a 3-1 victory with 35 saves against the Southern Conference leaders.
In Jaeger's eight game winning streak, he has given up just 10 goals and has a 1.24 GAA.
This is Jaeger's third time to be honored for the weekly award; the first came in the week of December 6-12 and second in the week of February 7-13.
Jaeger and the Brahmas return home Friday night when they host the Corpus Christi IceRays for a 7:05 PM start. The first 1000 fans to Friday's game will receive a mini Brahmas stick, sponsored by Advantage Property Inspections. After a Saturday night showdown in Laredo, Texas will take on new franchise, Missouri Mavericks at 4:05 PM at the NYTEX Sports Centre.
