Holt, Taylor recalled to Hartford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced that goalie Chris Holt and defenseman Jake Taylor have been recalled to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

Holt, 21, has appeared in 24 games this season with a record of 11-10-2. He has a 3.18 goals against average with a .895 save percentage. He was a sixth-round selection of the New York Rangers (180th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Holt appeared in 23 games last season with the Checkers with a record of 7-11-1. Last season he also played in nine games with the Wolf Pack (3-2-1) and appeared in one game with the New York Rangers.

Taylor, 23, skated in two games with the Checkers yielding no points or penalty minutes on a reconditioning assignment from Hartford. He was a sixth-round selection of the New York Rangers (177th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Checkers are at home at 7:30 pm Friday vs. the South Carolina Stingrays. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Checkers Expand-A-Banner courtesy of Horizon Eye Care.
