Gladiators Acquire Sitko from Toledo

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have acquired defenseman Jon Sitko from the Toledo Storm in exchange for forward Bruce Mulherin.

Sitko currently ranks fourth among Toledo defensemen with 6 points off a goal and 5 assists in 33 games this season with the Storm. His 74 penalty minutes ranks second among defensemen on the Storm.

A rookie out of Bowling Green State University, he collected 2 assists during his senior season last year while finishing his college career with 2 goals and 15 assists for 17 points in 124 career collegiate games.

Mulherin goes to the Storm after finishing his collegiate career last year at the University of Alabama-Huntsville as the Chargers leading scorer. In 30 games this season with the Gladiators, Mulherin has collected 11 points with Gwinnett.

Sitko should be available for the Gladiators for Friday's 7:35 p.m. tilt against the Florida Everblades on the Your Best Rate Financial Home Ice at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
