Tulsa, OK-Ben Holmes did not give up a hit until the seventh inning as he led a trio of Tulsa Drillers pitchers in a 2-0 shutout win over the Arkansas Travelers on Saturday night. Holmes was making his Drillers' debut and just his fourth start of the season overall. At one point he retired 14 straight Travs. The Driller defense contributed three hit-stealing catches in the outfield and also turned three double plays including one to end the game. It was the eighth time this season that the Travs were shutout and the two hits matched their season low.
Moments That Mattered
* D.J Peters blasted his 21st homer of the season to put Tulsa up 1-0. Peters is now tied with Joey Curletta for the league lead.
* Drew Jackson walked with two out in the seventh and Jacob Scavuzzo followed with a double to up the Tulsa lead to 2-0 in the seventh.
* Arkansas put the tying runs aboard with two out in the eighth on consecutive walks but Marshall Kasowski struck out Chuck Taylor to end the inning.

The series concludes at 7:05 on Sunday night. The Travelers have yet to determine a starter for the game with right-hander Tony Gonsolin (4-0, 3.00) scheduled to go for the Drillers. The game will be broadcast on the Sports Animal 920, the First Pitch App, TuneIn radio and milb.tv.
