Modesto, CA. - Shane Hoelscher drove in three runs to help the Modesto Nuts to a 5-4 walk-off win in ten innings against the Visalia Rawhide on Wednesday night.
In the bottom of the tenth, the Nuts (17-23; 43-67) loaded the bases with no outs against Rawhide (18-22; 64-46) reliever Myles Smith (L, 1-2). Smith struck out Drew Weeks but walked in the winning run by issuing a free pass to Hoelscher.
The Nuts had taken the lead with a four-run fourth inning. Hoelscher smoked a two-run homer to get the scoring started. Dom Nunez stole home as part of a double steal. Max White recorded a RBI single.
