
Hodgman selected to OHL All-Star Team

The Ontario Hockey League announced today that Justin Hodgman will represent the Erie Otters at the 2008 OHL All-Star Classic being held February 5th and 6th at the Steelback Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.
Hodgman is currently enjoying his best OHL season as the Otters leading scorer. In 40 games the third-year forward has scored 24 goals and 30 assists for 54 points. His goal and point-total represent new career highs. In 164 career OHL games with the Otters the 19 year-old Brampton, Ontario native has 50 goals and 75 assists for 125 points.
Hodgman represents the longest long shot to be named to the 2008 OHL All-Star Classic. No other player involved in the game was selected later in their respective OHL Priority Selection. Hodgman was taken by the Otters with the 242nd pick overall in the 2004 OHL Priority Selection. The next closest player is Patrick Maroon of the London Knights who was chosen 220th overall in 2004.
The Otters (9-30-2-1) return for home games Friday and Saturday at the Tullio Arena. Friday it's the Otters and the Windsor Spitfires presented by Arlington Lawn Care. The first 2,000 fans into the game receive a free ice scrapper. It's also JetRadio 1400 Coats for Kid's Night. Donate a coat and receive two tickets to a future Otters game (limit two tickets per person).
Saturday it's the Otters and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds with the first 2,500 fans into the game receiving a free taco coupon courtesy of Taco Bell.
