Augusta GreenJackets News Release
Columbia, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, lost 4-0 to the Columbia Fireflies on Sunday afternoon.
The GreenJackets once again struggled to produce hits in the ballgame. They were only able to get seven hits, that resulted in no runs. The bright spot at the plate were Manuel Geraldo and Orlando Garcia, who both went 2-4 on the game.
The Fireflies scored one run in each inning from the fourth until the seventh. Columbia who only had three more hits than the GreenJackets, were able to get runners on early in those innings. They used this to their advantage as they were to push across four runs.
