The Western Hockey League announced today the Eastern and Western Conference Finalists for the 2003-04 Marketing & Communications Award.
Calgary Hitmen's Mark Stiles was nominated as the Eastern Conference nominee, while Gavin Hamilton from the Kelowna Rockets was nominated in the West. The winners of all the WHL Awards will be announced at the 2003-04 WHL Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, April 28th, 2004.
"This nomination is a credit to Mark and the entire Hitmen organization. It's not an easy task to promote a WHL team in an NHL building and city. We've had some great promotions this year, along with a great fan base which was a key factor in establishing an attendance record this year." noted Hitmen GM and Executive of the Year Eastern Conference Nominee Kelly Kisio.
