Swift Current Broncos forward Jeremy Williams has been assigned to the Toronto Maple Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John's Maple Leafs. Toronto drafted Williams in the 7th Round (220th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Jeremy Williams has played 3 seasons with the Broncos. In 68 games this season, the nineteen-year-old center led the WHL in goals with 52 and was second in points with 101, 4 behind teammate Tyler Redenbach. As well, he was tied for the league lead in power play goals with 24 and was second on the Broncos in plus/minus with a +19. This season the native of Glenavon, Saskatchewan was named Husky WHL Player of the Month for the month of November, participated in the RE/MAX Canada Russia Challenge Series as a member of Team WHL, and had the longest goal scoring streak in the WHL at 13 games, collecting 19 goals during that span. In 2002/03, Williams led the Broncos in scoring with 41 goals and 93 points.

Williams joins Broncos defenceman Ian White, who joined the Baby Leafs earlier in the week and former Broncos captain Ben Ondrus who has been with St. John's for the entire season.
