Hitmen Win Over Royals 5-2

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen ran their season long winning streak to four games with a 5-2 victory over the Victoria Royals on Thursday night at Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on Tsuut'ina Nation.

The turning point came early in the second period when Oliver Tulk and Matteo Danis scored power play goals for Calgary just 37 seconds apart to break a 1-1 tie. London Hoilett, in the first period, with his second goal in as many games and Riley Fiddler-Schultz with a pair of third period markers completed the scoring for the home side.

Skating in his 100th career Western Hockey League game defenceman Grayden Siepmann added a pair of assists while David Adaszynski also chipped in a pair of helpers.

The Hitmen outshot the Royals 33-24 with goaltender Ethan Buenaventura making 22 saves to record the win.

Calgary, 7-4-1-1, is back on home ice at Seven Chiefs Sportsplex tomorrow Friday, Nov. 4 to host the Medicine Hat Tigers. The club will then enjoy a full eight-day break before starting their U.S. Division road trip in Kent, Washington against the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday, Nov. 12. The five-game journey will be played in only eight days.
