Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Swift Current Broncos 3-1 in Game 2 of the Husky WHL Eastern Conference Quarter-Final Friday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Calgary now leads the best-of-seven series 2-0.
After a scoreless first period, Hitmen captain Cody Sylvester and Greg Chase each scored in the middle frame. Sylvester added an assist to finish the game with two points, while Carolina Hurricanes' prospect Victor Rask also posted a two-point performance, tallying one goal and chipping in a helper.
Adam Lowry scored the lone goal for the visitors as Chris Driedger stopped 39 of 40 shots he faced to record his second win of the series.
The Husky WHL Eastern Conference Quarter-Final continues with Game 3 on Monday, March 25 and Game 4 on March 26. Both post-season games are 7:00 p.m. starts at the Credit Union iPlex in Swift Current.
