Kelowna, BC - Calgary Flames prospect Dillion Dube scored twice and set up two others as the Kelowna Rockets beat the Calgary Hitmen 8-2 on Wednesday night at Prospera Place.

Nick Merkley and Calvin Thurkauf also recorded two goals and two assists helping Kelowna snap a two-game losing streak.

The turning point came early in the second period as Kelowna scored four times in a span of 4:55 to open up a five goal lead. Nolan Foote and Devante Stephens rounded out the Rockets scoring with Kole Lind adding three assists.

Beck Malenstyn with his 22nd goal and Luke Coleman with his 11th replied for the Hitmen.

Kelowna outshot Calgary 41-27.

The Hitmen, 18-23-7-2, continue their B.C. road trip in Langley against the Vancouver Giants on Friday, Feb. 3. The trip wraps up in Victoria against the Royals on Saturday, Feb. 4. Calgary returns to the Scotiabank Saddledome to begin a three-game homestand and a stretch of seven of the next eight at the `Dome on Wednesday, Feb. 8 against the Regina Pats. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
