Hitmen Announce Home Opener and Pre-Season Schedule

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen today announced their home opener for the upcoming 2021-22 season will be played on Sunday, October 3rd against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Game time is 2:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome. It will mark the first time since 2010 Calgary will begin their home schedule against the 'Canes and only the fifth time in franchise history.

The Hitmen also unveiled their four-game pre-season schedule today which includes a pair of home-and-home sets.

The first is against Red Deer with a Friday, September 17th visit to Central Alberta before hosting the Rebels at Deerfoot Sportsplex on Siksika Nation on Saturday, September 18th in a 7:00 p.m. start. The following weekend Calgary squares off against Edmonton beginning in the provincial capital on Friday, September 24th. The return match is the pre-season finale on Saturday, September 25th as the Hitmen welcome the Oil Kings to Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on Tsuut'ina Nation. Game time is 7:00 p.m.

Ticket information for both the pre-season schedule and home opener will be released in August along with training camp dates.

The complete regular season schedule for the 2021-22 season is expected to be released in July and will see Calgary play all 68 games exclusively against the 11 other Eastern Conference opponents.
