
Hitmen Acquire Two Picks from Tri-City and Seattle

Calgary, AB- The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club have traded forward Brandon Whynott and defenceman Trey Patterson in exchange for picks in the 2024 and 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. Calgary has traded Brandon Whynott to the Tri-City Americans for a 2024 fifth round pick and Trey Patterson to the Seattle Thunderbirds for a 2026 sixth round pick.
"This move allows us to provide our younger players with the opportunity to develop in our lineup." said Calgary Hitmen Director of Hockey Operations Garry Davidson. "We would like to thank Brandon and Trey for their contributions to the Hitmen Organization."
Whynott played three seasons with Calgary after being drafted by the club in the second round of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft. Patterson was acquired in the 21-22 season from Red Deer and played the last two seasons with Calgary.
