Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced they have acquired a third-round pick in the 2018 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for 18-year-old defenceman Aaron Hyman.
"It is difficult to move a player that has been a part of the Hitmen organization since the Bantam Draft in 2013," said Hitmen General Manager and Vice President of Business Operations Mike Moore. "As a hometown player, Aaron has been an excellent ambassador for our organization and city. We feel this is a good opportunity for him and wish him the very best in Seattle."
In parts of three seasons, Hyman appeared in 71 career regular season games with the Hitmen, recording two goals and nine assists for 11 points. He also skated in three playoff contests but was held pointless.
Calgary returns to action following the holiday break tonight in Medicine Hat against the Tigers. The Hitmen are then back home to host the Tigers in the rematch tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 28. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome for Soccer Day in support of Calgary Minor Soccer Association. Calgary will then close out 2016 at home against the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday, December 30 in another 7:00 p.m. puck drop at Scotiabank Saddledome. It's also Airdrie Day in celebration of the City of Airdrie.
Hitmen single game tickets are available at Ticketmaster and the Scotiabank Saddledome box office. Order online at HitmenHockey.com or by phone at 1-855-985-5000.
