Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats have acquired 18-year-old defenceman Dawson Davidson from Kamloops. In exchange the Pats send 18-year-old forward Luc Smith to the Blazers.
Davidson, a product of Moosomin, Saskatchewan, has three goals and 15 points in 32 games this season. He was originally a third round pick of the Blazers in 2013. For his career, Davidson has 63 points in 124 games and is a plus 17.
"We are excited to add a young puck moving defenceman that can skate well," said Pats Head Coach and GM John Paddock. "Dawson will fit well into our current team and in the future."
Smith, a third round pick of the Pats in 2013, has six goals and 11 points in 29 games this year.
"We wish Luc all the best with the Blazers," said Paddock. "He has been a credit to our team on and off the ice."
The Pats return to action after the Christmas break tonight at the Brandt Centre against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at reginapats.com or at the Brandt Centre Box Office.
